Aeropress Brew Guide
What you'll need:
- Kettle
- Scale
- Burr Grinder
- Coffee:
- Coarse (25g)
- Fine (1.5g)
Steps:
- Place 1.5g fine coffee (espresso-like) into aeropress
- Place 25g coarse coffee (sea-salt like) into aeropress
- Shake chamber to level coffee grounds
- Start timer & pour 150g hot water (184 deg F, 84 deg C) into aeropress
- Firm stir 10 times using paddle
- Twist cap and filter onto aeropress
- At 1:15 mark flip aeropress cap into cup
- Begin to press down, stop when you hear hissing. Aim for a 30 second press
- You should end up with about 115g of coffee
- Bypass/Dilute with hot water (about 80g)
- Stir well and enjoy!
