Coffee Variety & Process: Maragogipe, Barrel-aged process
From the celebrated soils of Kaʻū, this single-estate Maragogipe — prized for its exceptionally large bean and rare cultivation — has been aged in both rum and bourbon barrels as part of our limited barrel-aged Hawaiian coffee series. The result is something deeply uncommon: intensely aromatic, yet remarkably composed in the cup.
Tasting notes of Surinam cherry and butterscotch open the experience, drifting into spiced rum warmth and charred oak before finishing with bright flashes of lime and orange bitters. Rustic, layered, and unhurried.
Our barrel-aged coffees are offered just once or twice a year. Prepare as you ordinarily would — the depth finds you.
